Broadway, Here You Come!

Part talkback. Part on your feet. Work with a Broadway professional to understand how a rehearsal room in NYC differs from your school program. Learn the ins and outs of Broadway and experience first hand the expectations and excitement of working a musical theatre moment on Broadway.

TESS PRIMACK Broadway: Fiddler on the Roof directed by Bartlett Sher. Next up: a Broadway National Tour (Show TBA) beginning in September 2025! Tess is often aboard the Disney Magic as their Broadway Guest Artist playing Mother Gothel in Tangled: The Musical. Off-Broadway: Einstein’s Dreams at 59E59 (Prospect Theatre Company). Regionally, Tess originated the role of Mother in the world premier of Kooman & Dimond’s musical The Enlightenment of Percival Von Schmootz at the Adirondack Theatre Festival. She also starred as Emma Carew in Jekyll & Hyde at North Shore Music Theatre. Tess is the Co-Founder of Broadway From Home, and has an in-person and virtual coaching studio for acting/vocal students of all ages. The Art of Atmosphere:
Lighting and Scenic for the Stage

The show is teched and in performance-mode. How did the lights and scenic elements come together to create this magic? Spend an afternoon with our Lighting Designer/Scenic Designer as they take you through our performance space – on stage, backstage, in the catwalk, and beyond to understand how lighting systems and set designs work collaboratively to elevate a high-level production. This workshop is for both technicians and performers!

Kyle Stamm is a theatrical lighting designer based in NYC and Massachusetts. Selected lighting design credits include Ariodante (Boston Baroque); the world premier of Falcon Girls (Yale Repertory Theatre); What in the F**k?!, Cactus Queen, Ruzante, Uncle Vanya, Julius Caesar (Yale Drama); Dance Nation, Arlington, The Royale, The Betrayal Project (Yale Cabaret); What in the F**k?!, for the honey, you gotta say when (Frances Black Projects hosted by NYTW); Phantom of the Opera, Bat Boy, Something Rotten, Six Characters, Indecent, Metamorphoses (Weston Drama Workshop); Grease, The Wizard of Oz, In the Heights, High School Musical (Framingham HS Drama Company). Kyle was recently the co-artistic director of Yale Cabaret for their 56th season titled Sandbox. He is originally from Framingham, Massachusetts.
