Chris Brindley

Producing Artistic Director

Chris Brindley will be returning for his 22nd season with Weston Drama Workshop after serving as Executive Producer for eight years and nine years serving as Producer. Chris began his involvement with WDW as a sophomore in high school as a performer and started on staff as stage manager of the morning show. Chris is an active director, producer, and performer in the Boston area. He received his B.A. in Theatre Education and Acting from Emerson College where he received the Howard Waldman Award for excellence in Performing Arts and his M.S. in Arts Administration from Boston University. Chris is currently the Department Head of Fine and Performing Arts at Framingham High School and is on staff as drama teacher and director for the award-winning Framingham High School Drama Company. Chris is also an affiliated faculty member of Emerson College Dept. of Performing Arts and previous President of the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild High School Division and current President of the Musical Theatre Division. Previously Chris worked as the Theatre Director at Belmont High School. WDW Directing Credits include: The Phantom of the Opera, Mean Girls, Something Rotten!, The Spongebob Musical, Spring Awakening, Disney’s Newsies, West Side Story, Evita, The Wizard of Oz, Chicago, Blood Brothers, James and the Giant Peach, Les Miserables, Wiley and the Hairy Man, Children of Eden, and the inaugural TYA Afternoon show, Charlotte’s Web. Much love to Ari, Aidan Tristan, Kyle, Judi, Sue, Lynn, the whole staff, and team Les Mis for making his fifth time to the barricade so special! He would especially like to thank Chris Holownia, S.J. and Meghan Rose for their incredible dedication, heart, and talent. Chris dedicates this and every show to his late mother and father, Linda and Doug, who were his biggest fans and supporters and whose favorite musical was Les Mis!

Aidan O’Hara

Producer

Aidan O’Hara is returning for his 20th summer at WDW, with this year being 10th year as a Producer. He has directed 17 productions here at WDW. Aidan is the Drama Teacher and Director at Wayland High School. Previous to his 9 years there, he was a Drama Teacher at Weston Middle School for 15 years. He holds an MFA in Theatre Education and Applied Theatre from Emerson College. This past year, he was recognized by the Tony Awards with an Honorable Mention with their annual Excellence in Theatre Education Award. He is also a recipient of the Margot Stern Strom Teaching Award from Facing History and Ourselves, as well as the Excellence in Education Award from the Goldin Foundation. He would like to thank Chris, Sue, Lynn, the entire staff, for their commitment and camaraderie. Love to his incredibly supportive family – Beth, Dermot, Róisín, Maeve, Gus and Gracie.

Jenna Saxon

Jenna Saxon is returning for her fourth season at Weston Drama Workshop. She is a rising senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she is pursuing a degree in marketing. Jenna would like to thank her family, her sister Annabelle, and the entire production team for another magic summer!

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL TEAM

Skylar Grossman

Director for High School Musical

Skylar Grossman will be returning for his 15th season at Weston Drama Workshop as the morning show director for High School Musical On Stage. Before his tenure with the night show program, Skylar worked as a choreographer for the morning show in 2011, and needless to say he is excited to be back where it all began. During the non-summer months, Skylar works as the drama teacher and director at Wellesley High School. Within his 15 years as a public educator, he has served eight years as the Tyngsborough Middle School theatre arts teacher and had an impactful five-year tenure as the theatre arts teacher and Director of the Franklin Arts Academy at Franklin High School. He received his B.A. in Theater Education/Acting Performance and a minor in Dance from Emerson College, and his M.Ed. through Lesley University’s Curriculum and Instruction: Integrated Teaching through the Arts. Selected directing and choreography credits include: , Suite Surrender, Fire in the Hole Puffs (METG HS State Finalist), Small Mouth Sounds (METG HS State Finalist), Anything Goes, Secret in the Wings (Wellesley High School), Flowers for Algernon, Legally Blonde, Lord of the Flies, Cinderella, Cave Dream (METG HS State Regional Winner), Mamma Mia, Bright Star, Six Rounds of Vengeance, and Almost, Maine (Franklin High School); Bat Boy, Young Frankenstein, Big Fish, Legally Blonde, Cabaret, and Billy Elliot (Weston Drama Workshop). Brandon Santini

Music Director for High School Musical

Brandon Santini, organist and pianist, is a native of Weymouth, MA. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in both organ and piano performance from the Oberlin Conservatory and subsequently received his Master of Music degree in organ performance from the Eastman School of Music. He was a finalist in the 2017 Canadian International Organ Competition and the 2022 Québec Organ Competition. Currently he serves as the Music Director and Organist for St. Theresa of Avila Parish in West Roxbury, MA, teaches piano at the South Shore Conservatory, and is the Music Director for the Wellesley High School Theater Company. Past theater credits include Mamma Mia, Cinderella, Legally Blonde, Anything Goes, Urinetown, and The Little Mermaid. As a sought after accompanist, he serves as the pianist for the Boston Latin School choir department and the Philharmonic Society of Arlington’s Chamber Chorus.

Rebecca Rolleri

Choreographer for High School Musical

Rebecca Rolleri is a dance teacher/ choreographer for Framingham High school. Rolleri holds her BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. While at the Conservatory, she trained extensively in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and composition. Through a partnership with the Boston Conservatory and the Royal Academy of Dance in London, Rolleri was able to complete her training and become a certified ballet teacher through the Royal Academy.

Celina Burgueño

Production Stage Manager for High School Musical

Celina Burgueño is back at WDW for her fourth season as the Morning Show Stage Manager. Originally from Connecticut, Celina is a retired zookeeper, holding a BS in Zoo Science from Delaware Valley University, and an MFA in Theatre Education from Emerson College. Her MFA thesis centered on the use of theatre to promote conservation education at Boston’s Franklin Park Zoo, where she worked in the Tropical Forest building. During the school year, Celina is the Drama Teacher at Susan B. Anthony Middle School in Revere, MA, and serves the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild as a musical theatre adjudicator.

Bernie Klau

Asst. Stage Manager for High School Musical

Bernie Klau is a rising senior at Natick High School! Outside of Weston he loves to perform in Scalestorm A Capella and West St. Singers. He spends his free time baking, playing the piano and the euphonium, running, reading, listening to music, watching movies, and driving around with Sadie. He’d like to thank the BFE and Holly Chin!

Tessa Varley

Asst. Stage Manager for High School Musical

Tessa is ecstatic for her sixth summer at WDW! She has previously worked as an assistant stage manager on “Merrily We Roll Along”, “Indecent”, “Cherry Orchard”, “We Will Rock You”, and “The Little Mermaid”. Last season, she was a part of the Les Misérables company in the feature female ensemble. Tessa is beyond excited to step into the role of production stage manager for the first time as she returns to the night show and continues as an assistant stage manager on the morning show. She is currently pursuing a BFA degree in Stage Management at The Pennsylvania State University, where she will be a sophomore in the fall. Tessa would like to thank her family and friends for their endless love and support!

Livia Cahill

Production Assistant for High School Musical

Livia Cahill is excited to be back at WDW for her tenth season! They are currently a rising senior at Bennington College where they study dance, costume design, and creative writing. When she’s not choreographing warm-ups or stitching on snaps, you can find her in the ballet studio doing pliés to a mix of Broadway and Madonna.

Sam Wolfrum

Costume Designer for High School Musical

Samantha Wolfrum is a freelance costume creative that has worked in several theaters in Boston and surrounding areas. She holds a BFA in costume design from Savannah College of Art and Design. She has worked on various productions in different capacities but some notable ones include;
25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee (The Hive, Costume Designer), Job (Speakeasy Stage, Wardrobe Supervisor), The Cher Show (NSMT, Wardrobe/ Costume Crew). Samantha is excited to be joining the Weston Drama team and can’t wait to bring the world of High School Musical to life!

JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH TEAM

Callie Llewellyn

Director for James and the Giant Peach

Callie Llewellyn (she/her/hers) is so excited for another great summer at WDW. She has a B.S. in Educational Theatre from New York University and a M.Ed from SEOSU in Theater Pedagogy. Callie has been teaching and directing with middle school students for 10 years. In recent summers at WDW she has directed Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Old Jake’s Skirts, Gary Grinkles, Gooney Bird Greene, Beware the Jabberwock, and Finding Nemo Jr. During the school year, you can find her teaching theater to both middle school and high school students in Melrose. Recent Melrose directing projects include The Wizard of Oz, Matilda Jr., Puffs, SpongeBob the Musical, and Squirrel Girl Goes to College.

Elyza Tuan

Music Director for James and the Giant Peach

This is Elyza’s 6th year at WDW, and she is excited to return as Music Director for the Afternoon show for the second year. She has composed underscoring for plays (Rabbit Hole, Our Town), produced her original one-act musical called Not Anymore, and music directed/ assistant music directed for student groups and department theatre at Boston College (As You Like It, Urinetown, Old Man and the Old Moon, Tick Tick…BOOM!). She is a proud member of the Musical Theatre Wing, acting as Resident MD.

Molly Bailen

Choreographer for James and the Giant Peach

Molly Bailen is a rising senior at Syracuse University, studying Political Science, Psychology, and Dance. Molly is from the Boston area and is so excited to be returning to Weston for her 2nd summer with the afternoon program! She has been dancing since the age of three and continues to train in a variety of styles. She continues to choreograph and teach through Syracuse University’s dance club, Orange Pulse, and serves on the executive board as artistic director. She is thrilled to return to WDW for another amazing season!

Madeline Maurer

Production Stage Manager for James and the Giant Peach

Madeline Maurer is happy to be returning for her 10th summer at WDW. In past years, she has been the stage manager for Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2025), Old Jake’s Skirts (2024), Gary Grinkle (2023), and Gooney Bird Greene (2022). She has recently appeared in other local productions, including Sleeping Beauty (Winnmere Family Theater, 2026) and Family Album (Playground Theater Co., 2025). During the school year, she works with elementary students at LCCPS, where she also co-advises the Drama Club.

Bethany J. Aiken

Music Director for Dear Evan Hansen

Bethany Aiken is a Boston-based music director, pianist, composer, and teaching artist who has served as music director for more than 100 productions, including Fun Home, Six: Teen Edition, Mean Girls, Something Rotten!, and The SpongeBob Musical (Weston Drama Workshop); Little Shop of Horrors, Jonah and the Whale, Lucky Stiff, Lobster Girl (+orchestrations), and Christmas on the Air (+vocal arrangements), all with Greater Boston Stage Company; Cold War Choir Practice (Trinity Rep); The Prom, Firebringer, and Beauty and the Beast (GBSC Young Company); Murder for Two (Lyric Stage); Songs for a New World (Gloucester Stage); Urinetown, Head Over Heels (Boston Conservatory at Berklee), Hair (Northeastern University); Peter and the Starcatcher (Hub Theatre Company); and four seasons at New Hampshire’s Weathervane Theatre, where she also created original scores for TYA musicals. Keyboard credits: The Black Clown (A.R.T., Norton winner, Outstanding Musical Production), the Big Apple Circus, Andrea Bocelli. Staff collaborative pianist at Boston Conservatory since 2013, Emerson College faculty, proud member of MAESTRA and the NOMTI Advanced Writers Lab.

Meghan McCluskey

Production Stage Manager for Dear Evan Hansen

Meghan is returning for her fifth year at Weston Drama Workshop! She is a rising junior at Ithaca College to pursue her B.F.A in Stage Management with a minor in Live Event Design and Management. Meghan’s previous WDW credits include: “Present Laughter” (PSM), “The Phantom of the Opera” (ASM), “Mean Girls: High School Edition” (ASM), and “Six Characters in Search of an Author” (ASM). She is excited to spend another summer at WDW!

Chris Holownia, S. J.

Music Director for Parade

Christopher Holownia, S.J. is thrilled to return to WDW after directing the music for Les Mis and Phantom the past two seasons. Chris has been proudly involved with WDW since 1997, both on and off the stage, as a member of the Board of Directors, and even as a director himself, and he credits this organization with his success in the worlds of music, theatre, and education. Raised in Wellesley, he is a graduate of Yale University (BA, Philosophy), Simmons University (MAT, Foreign Languages), and Loyola University Chicago (MA, Theology). He currently studies at Boston College’s Clough School of Theology and Ministry. He has been playing the piano and singing for as long as he can remember. While at Yale, Chris conducted the Spizzwinks(?) and the Whiffenpoofs, two of the oldest a cappella groups in the country with whom he regaled audiences all over the world with humor and song. As a young professional, he established the Mandarin Chinese program at Wellesley High School where he taught foreign languages for four years after completing his undergraduate degree. He subsequently moved into the private school sector to teach for six more years at The Rivers School in Weston, serving for his last two years there as 9th and 10th Grade Dean. From 2007-17 he directed music and choirs at St. John the Evangelist Church in Wellesley on weekends while working throughout the Boston area as a freelance music director, voice teacher, and accompanist. In addition to being an avid actor and vocalist himself, Chris loves the theatre and has directed the music for countless musicals, ranging from amateur middle school productions to fully fledged professional shows. Since joining the Society of Jesus (a.k.a. the Jesuits) in 2017, he has enjoyed a variety of other ministerial experiences, including hospital chaplaincy, prison chaplaincy, retreat ministry, parish ministry, and high school campus ministry. He would like to express gratitude to God, to his rector, George Collins, S.J., and to Chris Brindley for allowing him the opportunity to continue working with his WDW family this season. He sees theatre, music, and art more broadly as pathways to divine encounter – viae pulchritudinis – and treasures the tremendous role WDW has played in his life, not only in nurturing but also nourishing his vocation, his talents, and his soul. Jillian Wadland

Production Stage Manager for Parade

Jillian is returning for her eighth summer at Weston Drama Workshop, and is excited to be back with her favorite people! She was a participant in the Night Show for three years, and joined the staff five years ago. During the school year, she is an English teacher and theatre director at Maynard High School, where she just finished her first year leading the Maynard Stage Company. Love and thanks to her real family and her Weston family, and especially to the Parade team!

Timmy Beverly

Asst. Stage Manger for Parade

Timmy is thrilled to be part of the Parade team as he returns for his sixth season at WDW! With Weston, he has been the Assistant Director for The Phantom of the Opera, an Assistant Stage Manager for Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Mean Girls and Something Rotten!, and a spot op for Merrily We Roll Along. He attends the University of Connecticut and is working towards his BFA in Puppet Arts. He would like to thank his family for their endless love and support, without which he would not be where he is today.

Esther Abe

Asst. Stage Manager for Parade

This is Esther’s first season with WDW and she is excited to be an Assistant Stage Manager for Parade. She has previously assistant stage managed in productions of Grease the Musical and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: abridged, revised, again. She would like to thank her family for their support of her theatrical endeavors

Ale Philippides

Asst. Music Director for Parade

Ale is thrilled to be returning to WDW this summer as assistant music director for Parade! Ale is a musician and actor from Newton, MA and is currently studying at Wesleyan University. Previous music direction credits include Seussical Jr. and Winnie The Pooh (Concord Youth Theater), as well as Falsettos (Wesleyan). Ale would like to thank his family and friends for their support, as well as WDW for introducing him to the joys of musical theatre.

Laura Villalobos

Costume Designer for Parade

Laura Villalobos is happy to return to WDW this year. She previously led costume design for Indecent, Grease and Alice by Heart at WDW, and at her kids’ high school Newsies, High School Musical, SpongeBob, Mamma Mia, Beauty and The Beast and Little Mermaid among others. Laura is originally from Costa Rica, and owns a small event decoration business and teaches yoga in studios around our community. She thanks WDW for the opportunity!

Julia Deter

Director for The Prom

Julia Deter is a Boston based theater arts professional, and is thrilled to be returning to WDW for a third year, having previously directed & choreographed SIX and Sweeney Todd! Formerly a performer based in New York, she has worked with the touring companies of 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof, All Shook Up, and many other Regional productions. In Boston, Julia primarily works as a director and choreographer. She also enjoys teaching theater and dance throughout the area for companies including: the American Repertory Theater, Boston Conservatory, Boston Ballet, Celebrity Series of Boston, Wheelock Family Theater, and Reagle Music Theater. She is the recipient of EMACT DASH awards for Direction and Choreography, as well as an IRNE nomination for Direction, and is an Honours graduate of the Royal Academy of Dance in London. By day, she is held hostage by–er– enjoys spending time with her capricious and lovable 2.5 year old son, Elliot.

Dan Rodriguez

Music Director for The Prom

Dan is happy to return to Weston Drama Workshop after previously music directing Bat Boy, Merrily We Roll Along, and Indecent. Other recent credits include Huntington Theatre: The Hills of California, The Band’s Visit, Sunday in the Park with George, A Little Night Music. Lyric Stage Company: Penelope, Hello Dolly!, Urinetown. Wheelock: Charlotte’s Web, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, In the Heights. Reagle Music Theater: Evita, An American In Paris, Oklahoma!, Pippin. CSC: A Christmas Carol. NSMT: Kinky Boots, Little Shop of Horrors. GBSC: Guys and Dolls. Moonbox: Caroline or Change, Cabaret, The Wild Party. Front Porch: Ain’t Misbehavin’. Dan is also an accomplished pianist, composer, and conductor, and has worked at the Boston Conservatory, Emerson, Brandeis and Tufts. His work has earned him two Elliot Norton awards for Best Music Direction.

Grace Graham

Assistant Director for The Prom

Grace is an actor, musician and teaching artist in the Boston and New England Area. Recent theatre credits include A Christmas Carol, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Legally Blonde (Emerald City Theatrical), American Idiot, Once (The Wilbury Theatre Group), Hamlet, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet (Shit-Faced Shakespeare, US),Titanish (Greater Boston Stage Company) and Pauligarchy (SpeakEasy Stage for BTM XXV. Katrina Barrett

Production Stage Manager for The Prom

Katrina Barrett is returning to Weston Drama Workshop for her sixth season! She is excited to be the Production Stage Manager for her second mainstage production, The Prom, after serving as PSM for Sweeney Todd last season. She is a rising Senior at Syracuse University, perusing a BFA in Stage Management. Katrina can’t wait to spend another summer at Weston Drama Workshop!

Sophia KurKomelis

Asst. Stage Manager for The Prom

Sophia is thrilled to be back at Weston Drama Workshop for her third year as an Assistant Stage Manager for The Prom! Previously she has been an ASM for Present Laughter, a spot op for The Little Mermaid and Six: Teen Edition, and run crew for We Will Rock You. Sophia will be pursuing Communications Arts and Tech Theatre this fall. She is thankful for her family and friends for their continuous support.

Vee Slowick

Asst. Stage Manager for The Prom

Vee Slowik is returning for their third summer at WDW! They’re a rising sophomore at Ithaca College majoring in Theatre Administration. Vee is so excited to be working backstage on The Prom and thanks their parents for all of their support.

Rebecca Glick

Costume Designer for The Prom

Rebecca Glick is thrilled to be returning to Weston Drama Workshop! Her previous designs for WDW include Mean Girls, We Will Rock You, and Fun Home! Rebecca is also the head of costumes for North Shore Music Theatre. She has designed for many theatres and educational programs around Boston. Her recent designs include Waitress and Rent (NSMT), Laughs in Spanish (Speakeasy Stage Company), and Frozen (Framingham High School). She is the recipient of the Thomas Derrah Emerging Artist Award for her Costume Design of POTUS and has been nominated for Elliot Norton Awards for her designs of Sweeney Todd (Moonbox Productions) and Rent (NSMT).

THE HILLS OF CALIFORNIA TEAM

Stephanie Manning

Director for The Hills of California

Stephanie Manning is a theatre educator and director from the North Shore. She received her BA in Theatre Education from Manhattanville College, her M.Ed. in Arts, Community, and Education from Lesley University, and is a graduate of the National Theater Institute at the Tony Award-winning Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Previous WDW directing credits: The Jungle Book, The Wolves, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Children’s Hour, INDECENT, and Fun Home. Favorite directing credits include: Clyde’s, The Whale, Yerma (METG State Winners), Red Speedo, and How I Learned to Drive. During the school year, Stephanie works as a theatre teacher and director for Peabody Veterans Memorial High School. Michelle is retired from a 34 year career in music education, but excited to still be working with youth theater in Weston. She has crafted musical underscore for Weston productions since 2018 and looks forward to new productions each summer.

AMELIA FURLONG is so glad to be back for her third summer at Weston Drama Workshop! Previously, she was PSM for Fun Home and an ASM for The Phantom of the Opera. Amelia is a rising junior at the University of Miami and she is a graduate of the National Theater Institute ‘25 and Wayland HS ‘24. Earlier this summer, Amelia was an Operations Apprentice at Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC. Chelsea is the costume shop manager and costume design professor at Wellesley College; she also teaches at Bridgewater State University and Brandeis University, and she has often worked in the costume shop of the American Repertory Theater. Production Stage Manager for Much Ado About Nothing

Tessa is ecstatic for her sixth summer at WDW! She has previously worked as an assistant stage manager on “Merrily We Roll Along”, “Indecent”, “Cherry Orchard”, “We Will Rock You”, and “The Little Mermaid”. Last season, she was a part of the Les Misérables company in the feature female ensemble. Tessa is beyond excited to step into the role of production stage manager for the first time as she returns to the night show and continues as an assistant stage manager on the morning show. She is currently pursuing a BFA degree in Stage Management at The Pennsylvania State University, where she will be a sophomore in the fall. Tessa would like to thank her family and friends for their endless love and support!

Andrew is excited to join WDW for his fifth season! His background as a musician, private music teacher, freelance sound designer, and recording engineer brings a big-picture perspective to his live sound. In addition, as a head engineer with MockingBird Music and Sound for the last five years, he has clocked hundreds of hours mixing theater productions and honing his craft. Rebecca Mayersohn

Marketing Manager

Becca is thrilled to be back at Weston Drama Workshop this summer! She has been involved in the program ever since she first stepped on the Regis stage 22 years ago as an Ozian in the Wizard of Oz, WDW’s 2003 Morning Show production. This is her tenth summer as Marketing Manager. When she’s not at WDW, Becca works at Walnut Hill School for the Arts as the Digital Content Manager, and performs at local theaters, as well as at Renaissance Faires with the Ladies of Integrity, Aristocracy, Repute, and Society (The LIARS).
